Key Features of the Toshiba 56MX195

DLP TV Technology

1,920 x 1,080p HDTV Resolution
One of the challenges of large-screen TV displays is maintaining picture sharpness at large images sizes. Toshiba solves this problem with ease with its new line of 1080p DLP Televisions. The 56MX195 produces about 2 million pixels on screen—more than twice that of a conventional 720p rear projection TV. Even 1080i HDTV broadcasts come through with all their intended sharpness and detail on these Toshiba rear projection TVs.

Radiance 150 Hi-Bright Lamp
From the moment you turn on the TV, you will see that Toshiba's new 150-Watt lamp creates brilliant images that draw you in. This high-quality DC lamp is 25% brighter, enabling brighter images without sacrificing contrast. And the Toshiba Quick Start feature ensures that great pictures are never more than a moment away.

DEEP Picture: Digitally Enhanced Engine Performance
Toshiba DLP TVs with the new TALEN engine now include DEEP picture technology. The DEEP system employs two new picture quality algorithms that dramatically improve engine performance. By enhancing both sharpness and color saturation, the DEEP system helps create sharper, deeper, more realistic images.

PixelPure AT: Adaptive Technology
Toshiba's next-generation PixelPure video processing includes new Adaptive Technology. This advanced video processing constantly monitors changes in signal quality, content, and movement to enhance Sharpness, Contrast, and Color reproduction. PixelPure AT once again proves that processing makes the picture, and Toshiba continues to provide the most advanced processing technology for the best possible picture quality on all digital displays.

Xtreme BLAC (Black Level Aperture Control)
This system increases the electronic gain to utilize the full dynamic range of the Toshiba TALEN engine. A dynamic aperture then reduces the black level by up to 75% when needed. The benefits of this process include adding 2 real bits for decreased dithering noise, restoring hue to clipped pixels for better color in dark areas, and increasing contrast up to 5,000:1 for deep, three-dimensional images.

Audio System

SRS WOW Sound Enhancements
WOW is a special combination of SRS Labs audio technologies that creates a surround sound experience with deep, rich bass from stereo sound sources, making the TV audio sound fuller, richer, and wider.

Other Features

DoubleWindow Picture-Out-Picture (POP)
The picture-out-picture feature splits the screen into a double window that allows you to watch two programs at the same time. You can switch the audio from the main to the POP picture as desired. The double window features each picture according to its input signal aspect ratio, allowing you to view two 4:3, two 16:9 or one 4:3 and one 16:9 picture simultaneously.

Memory Card Slots
The built-in OmniViewer card reader can read Compact Flash, SmartMedia memory cards, SD memory cards, MultiMediaCards, and Memory Sticks.
