Mitsubishi TV Lamp Replacement Guide

If the lamp has gone out on your Mitsubishi DLP television replacing it is a simple task. The only things you will need is a phillips head screwdriver and a few minutes of your time.

First you will need a replacement lamp for your TV, we recoomend purchasing a replacement lamp from sites like Amazon or Nextag, purchasing a lamp from sites like these can save you quite a bit of money. Once you have the lamp follow the steps below to replace it:

  1. Make sure the lamp in the television is completely cool and the television is unplugged
  2. Using your phillips head screwdriver, unscrew the 4 screws and remove the lamp compartment cover
  3. Loosen the 4 screws that secure the lamp cartridge, note that these screws do not come out, just loosen them until you can remove the lamp cartridge
  4. Unplug the old lamp cartridge and replace it with the new lamp cartridge
  5. Tighten the screws that secure the lamp cartridge
  6. Replace the lamp compartment cover and screw in the 4 screws that secure it

That's it, the lamp has been replaced and your TV is ready to go. The old lamp contains mercury or other toxic chemicals so visit the official Mitsubishi support website to learn about recycling the old lamp rather than just throwing it out.
