Key Features of the JVC HD-52G786

    Rear Projection TV Technology

    3-Chip DILA Rear Projection System
JVC's 3-Chip DILA System delivers a picture so vivid and crystal clear, with a pixel structure so compact, it is able to create an image free of "Rainbow Effect" and "Screen Door Effect" associated with DLP and LCD televisions. The advanced new JVC HD-ILA TVs are sure to become one of the most acclaimed projection TV technologies in the electronics market.

    Digital Image Scaling Technology (D.I.S.T.)
Every HDTV set has the capacity to reproduce high quality images from HD sources, but when it comes to other sources, like DVDs (480i) or NTSC TV signals, they are almost over qualified. Scaling DVD images to fit most HD televisions results in unwanted image artifacts and noise, but with JVC's 4th generation D.I.S.T.—an exclusive digital algorithm that seamlessly up-scales any video source to display at 720p—the final image is seen at the highest possible resolution and clarity.

    Exclusive 4 Point Color Management
Every JVC HD-ILA TV incorporates a 4 Point Color Management System which compensates for the limited color standards set by CRT TVs. It does this by sampling the four colors in the video signal—Green, Yellow, Red and Blue—and automatically adjusting the colors within each range so that they are reproduced with their original purity.

    75 MHz Digital Super Detail
JVC's Digital Super Detail (DSD) Circuitry is state of the art edge correction that together with Natural Progressive Circuitry works to reproduce completely focused pictures under both still to highly active images. DSD providing this higher degree of focus ensures that every image then is viewed at the highest possible resolution.

    Dynamic Gamma Control Circuitry
Typical Gamma Control analyzes dark to light image data to balance contrast and avoid dark to muddy areas. JVC's Dynamic Gamma Control takes this process a step further by detecting and focusing specifically on areas with high concentrations of dark image data. This pin-point sampling helps both avoid muddy areas and recreate images rich in detail.

The JVC HD-52G786 D-ILA TV is equipped with an ATSC tuner and CableCARD slot, and features a PC input and dual IEEE 1394 (FireWire) inputs. All 720p D-ILA sets use the same 1280 x 720 pixels, 0.7-inch D-ILA device in a three-chip design – a vertically-oriented LCOS (liquid crystal on silicon) technology that adds an inorganic alignment layer that stabilizes device performance and maximizes chip production. The three-chip structure has the ability to continuously reproduce a flicker- and burn-free picture. In addition, an invisible pixel structure ensures that there are no color or motion artifacts, and a true analog grey scale provides outstanding gradations of black.

    Audio System

The JVC BBE High Definition audio system with Advanced HyperSurround and Active Hyper Bass includes two direct-drive speakers mounted underneath the screen for rich, expansive sound that fills your home theater or TV room.

    Input/Output Terminals

An HDMI compatible input with HDCP (High Definition Content Protection) offers an uncompressed solution to the transmission and display of high definition video and audio content. All JVC HD-ILA TVs also include dual auto sensing component video inputs, assuring the best possible picture quality whether a viewer is using DTV, D-VHS or DVD, and three S-Video (two rear, one front) inputs and four AV inputs (three rear, one front).
